Privacy Policy

This policy describes what actually happens when you visit IntoInversion. It is short because the site does very little with your data. It is effective as of the date shown under the title above.

What We Collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages people read, how they arrive, roughly where they are in the world, what kind of device they use, and which product buttons they click. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) to recognise repeat visits. Google processes that data under its own privacy policy, and you can opt out with Google’s browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics or by blocking cookies in your browser.

We do not use advertising pixels, remarketing, or social media embeds, and we do not sell or share analytics data with anyone.

There are no comments and no accounts, and we never ask for your name. The only place we ask for your email address is the optional newsletter form, described in its own section below.

Newsletter

The IntoInversion letter brings new guides and research updates, about once a month. You join it by entering your email address in the newsletter form and pressing Subscribe; that action is your consent to receive it. There is no box to tick, and nothing is sent until you confirm.

  • Double opt-in. After you subscribe we send one email asking you to confirm your address. If you do not click the link, you will not receive the newsletter.
  • What we store. Your email address; the date you subscribed, confirmed or unsubscribed; the page you signed up from; the wording and version of the consent you gave; your browser’s user agent; the country your connection comes from; and a one-way hash of your IP address that we use only to limit repeated sign-up attempts. We do not store your IP address itself. Google Analytics records that a sign-up happened and on which page, never your address.
  • Where it is kept. The list is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, and our emails are sent through the mail server of our hosting provider. Neither uses the list for its own purposes.
  • Unsubscribing. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and supporting email apps show a one-click unsubscribe button. You can also write to hello@intoinversion.com and we will remove you by hand. After you unsubscribe we keep your address, the dates and the consent record only so that we never email you again by mistake. Ask us and we will delete that record too.
  • No sharing. We never sell, rent or share the list, and we do not track whether you open our emails.

How the Site Is Served

Every page of IntoInversion is built in advance and delivered as a plain file, with nothing running on a server that reacts to who you are. The one exception is the newsletter form, which sends your address to a small function on the same host.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the technical details that every browser sends when it asks for a page, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to deliver that page to you. Cloudflare handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Fonts and Other Files

The typefaces and styles on this site are served from the site itself. Product photos are loaded directly from Amazon’s image servers, as Amazon requires for affiliate sites, so your browser requests those image files from Amazon when a page with a product shows them. The Google Analytics script is loaded from Google, as described above.

Some links on this site go to Amazon and include our Amazon Associates tag, so that Amazon can credit us if you make a purchase. Those links open Amazon in a new tab.

Once you are on Amazon, you are on Amazon’s website, not ours. Amazon may use cookies to record that you arrived through our link, and it handles everything you do there, including any purchase, under its own privacy notice and cookie policy. We do not receive your name, your address, or your payment details. Amazon’s reports to us show which products were ordered through our links and the commission earned, not who ordered them.

More on how these links work is on our affiliate disclosure page.

Our pages also link to manufacturers’ websites and to published studies so you can check our sources. When you follow one of those links, the site you land on has its own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If what the site does with data changes, for example if we add another analytics or advertising tool, we will update this page before or at the same time, and the date under the title will change with it.

Questions

Questions about this policy or about your information go to hello@intoinversion.com. To learn more about how the site works, see the About page.
